SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. - A teenager interrupted a break-and-enter into a Summerside home Wednesday, and police are asking for the public’s help in finding the culprit.
Shortly before 4 p.m., the city’s police service received a 911 call reporting the break-in at a home on Maple Grove Road.
The caller reported that his teenage daughter came home from school and discovered the suspect inside the residence.
The suspect made off with some electronics. The girl was not injured.
With the assistance of the RCMP’s K9 unit, officers were able to locate the stolen electronics not far from the home, but the suspect is still at large.
After speaking with a number of witnesses, police have identified a person of interest who they are attempting to locate.
