Summerside planning board recommends parking relief for new business

Summerside’s Technical Services/Planning Board has recommended approval of a request by a developer for parking relief at 340 Water Street.

The building, which used to house the P.E.I. Bag Company, does not have sufficient parking to allow for a commercial tenant to set up in on the property and the owner has one interested in setting up shop, the Bony Broth Company.

The board voted in favour of granting the request. Council still has to give final approval at a later meeting.
