The Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce is putting out a call for nice pictures of the Summerside area and they’re offering prizes for the best ones.
The contest is part of the Chamber’s Choose Summerside initiative, which it launched earlier this year to highlight the community’s strengths. It runs from now until Nov. 1.
The contest is meant to help the community take part in showcasing where they’ve chosen to make home, said Jane Sharpe, executive director of the Chamber.
“We want the community to be involved and we want more people to be become aware of Choose Summerside. Take part in the ambassador roll that it’s all about.”
To enter the contest, photos can be posted on the Choose Summerside Facebook page. The caption must include “Why I #ChooseSummerside.”
First prize is $500, second prize is $300 and third prize is $200.
The top 10 photos will be determined based upon the number of likes they gather from the #ChooseSummerside Facebook followers.
Entrants should be aware that the Chamber reserves the rights use photos entered into the contest for promotional purposes.
