After 8 p.m. Stratford RCMP, along with the Crossroads Fire Department and Island EMS responded to a 911 call about a woman who had been injured. When first responders arrived the woman was alive but after experiencing further complications she died at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The coroner will determine the cause of death.
Police are withholding the victims name until all family members are notified.
