A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Prince County.
According to Environment Canada, meteorologists are tracking a thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts and up to nickel size hail.
"A thunderstorm cell is moving in from the Northumberland Strait just north of Campbellton and heading towards Saint Felix. Doppler Radar indicates wind possibly gusting in excess of 110 km/h."
A thunderstorm watch for Prince County, issued earlier in the day, indicated that locally heavy downpours could begin after 4 p.m. and clear up later this evening.
