Traffic Monday morning was flowing freely through the intersection while the contractor began to work on the site in the area off to the east side of the O’Halloran Road and south side of Route 2.
"Temporary roads will be constructed to allow vehicles to navigate the intersection during construction," says the P.E.I. Department of Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy. "Two-way traffic will be maintained through the project. Motorists can expect delays during the construction period."
Government says that work should be complete by mid to late July.
