As of 9:15 a.m. the Regals trailed the first-place Glace Bay Miners by 5,197 votes in the online contest for the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup.

The Miners were leading 99,814 votes to 94,617. There are 11 other regional finalists from across Canada in the competition but with voting set to close at 1 a.m. (Atlantic time) Friday, it is unlikely any of them will catch up with the Regals or Miners. The vote total for the third-place Kanata Blazers was listed at 10,131. The Regals and Miners saw their vote totals increase by 13,000 and 17,000 respectively in the past 24 hours

The contest sponsor will verify all the votes once voting ends tomorrow morning.
