RCMP investigating drowning death off of Cavendish Beach

A Quebec man is dead after drowning in the waters off Cavendish Beach. 

Queens RCMP responded to the report of the man's death on Aug. 17 at around 11:40 a.m. 

The 43-year-old Quebec visitor had been swimming alone while the water conditions were reported as dangerous with high surf that day. 

The investigation into the man's death continues.
