Province investigating reports of dead fish near Campbellton

Provincial environmental officials reported Monday afternoon that they are investigating reports of dead fish in the Cambellton area of West Prince.

The fish were discovered and reported by the local watershed organization on Sunday afternoon.

Water, soil, vegetation and fish samples have been collected and sent for testing.

Staff from the Forest, Fish and Wildlife division of Communities, Land and Environment, the investigation and enforcement division of Justice and Public Safety and Environment Canada are all involved in the investigation.
