NORTHAM – East Prince RCMP arrested a 50-year-old Alberton man after observing the vehicle driving slowly on Route 2 in Northam, P.E.I.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on March 1. The officer conducted a traffic stop and after speaking with the driver, arrested him for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

He was transported to the RCMP detachment where he provided breath samples over the legal limit.

The man was released from police custody and will appear in Summerside Provincial Court on April 19 to answer to impaired driving related charges.
