The event, which will take place Feb. 23, at the Loyalist Country Inn, Summerside, will feature Poirier, president of Vector Aerospace – Atlantic, speaking on the topic of "Supporting worldwide growth from Summerside.”
Poirier joined the company in 1993 and has risen to his present post where he now oversees a team of more than 680 employees in P.E.I. and nine other locations around the world.
The event will also honour former Summerside mayor Basil Stewart who will receive this year’s Lifetime Membership Award.
Chamber president, Dan Kutcher, has also been re-elected for a second one-year term and will be inducted at that time. Sean Aylward, owner of the Humble Barber, will step into the role of first vice-president.
