P.E.I. woman says man made inappropriate comments to her at beach

COVEHEAD, P.E.I. – Police are asking for help tracking down a man who made inappropriate comments to a woman on a beach late last week.

Queens District RCMP received a complaint Friday around noon that an adult woman was walking on the beach near Covehead wharf when she was approached by a man in his mid-50s.

The woman reported the man asked her some very personal and inappropriate questions and followed her for a short distance before leaving the area.

The man is described as five-foot-eight-inches tall with short cut grey hair and a medium build.

RCMP would like the speak with the man and is asking anyone with information to contact the detachment at 902-368-9300.

Police are also reminding anyone encountering a similar situation to report it at the first opportunity.
