GREEN MEADOWS, P.E.I. – Police do not anticipate laying charges after a man in eastern P.E.I. fired several gunshots while sighting-in his hunting rifle.
Kings District RCMP responded to a complaint from a member of the public who heard multiple gunshots while working at a residence Thursday morning in Green Meadows. The shots were reported around 11:30 a.m.
The caller quickly left the area, unsure of the location from which the shots were coming or the intended target.
Once he felt he was in a safe area, he contacted the RCMP.
Officers responded and secured the area. After some investigation, they determined the shots were fired on an adjacent property where a local man was sighting-in his hunting rifle.
