The price of gas has dropped 2.5 cents per litre after the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission’s mid-month price adjustment.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular, unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets now ranges from 109.9 to 111.1 cpl.

There is no change in the price of furnace oil, stove oil, diesel or propane.

The maximum price for furnace oil will continue to amount to 87.2 cpl, plus tax. Pump prices for diesel will continue to range from 124.1 to 125.2 cpl.

The price decrease came into effect 12:01 a.m. Friday.

The commission says the drop in gas prices is due to a decrease in the wholesale price of gasoline since the beginning of the month.

The commission’s next scheduled price adjustment will be on Jan. 1.
