The decision to fill the role was deferred during last night’s meeting of the party executive.
It is now expected that the decision will be made during next month’s meeting.
Former president Pat Banks resigned from the position late last month for what party officials said was “personal reasons.”

The party will have an interim leader until its annual general meeting next October, which is when the membership will select both a new president and leader.
