Newspapers facing delivery delay, cancellation today

The Guardian and The Journal Pioneer will not reach some costumers today.

The RCMP has shut down Route 1 due to drifting snow and accidents.

It is advising Islanders to stay off the road.

The Guardian offices in Charlottetown are closed for the day, as are the offices of The Journal Pioneer in Summerside.

Both newsrooms, however,  have staff on site or working from home so please feel free to conrtact them with suggestions, questions or to submit photos.

We apologize for this inconvenience.

Paper delivers will start when it is safe to do so.
