A Mount Herbert man has died in hospital Saturday, just over a week after police found him in his home with a serious head injury.

The 29-year-old man spent a week in hospital in Moncton after police found him injured in his residence on Aug. 3.

Queens District RCMP and the P.E.I. RCMP’s Major Crime Unit, along with the New Brunswick coroner’s office, are continuing their investigation into the cause of the man’s injury and subsequent death.

The man’s name has not been released.
