Yesterday, Premier Wade MacLauchlan apologized for a privacy breach that came to light in 2011 regarding the Provincial Nominee Program. Meanwhile, the whistleblowers involved in the case said the information and privacy commissioner's ruling came too late. 

Also in the legislature yesterday, the Opposition pressed for legal action against effluent from a Pictou pulp mill. 

Finally, Green leader Peter Bevan-Baker said it is ironic that secrecy surrounds the province's freedom of information report.
