HOCKEYVILLE: Devils win 2017 Hockeyville game 8-1 over Ottawa Senators

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. - The New Jersey Devils won the 2017 Kraft Hockeyville NHL exhibition game 8-1 over the Ottawa Senators on Monday night.

The game was part of the prize won by O'Leary for winning the Kraft Hockeyville 2017 contest, along with a $100,000 cheque for arena upgrades in the West Prince community.

The Devils jumped on Ottawa in the opening two minutes, and quickly sprinted out to a 5-0 lead after the first period.

New Jersey scored twice more in the second before the Sens broke the shutout on a powerplay goal to make it 7-1. 

The Devils added another in the third to cap off their explosive night.

The O'Leary Hockeyville committee is presented a $100,000 cheque for winning the contest. The money is meant for arena upgrades in the community.
