SUMMERISDE – Olympian Heather Moyse is heading home and the City of Summerside is looking to throw her a party to welcome her.
Moyse, a multi-sport athlete and two-time Olympic bobsleigh gold medalist, recently placed sixth at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics in South Korea.
A celebration of her accomplishment will take place at Credit Union Place’s Veterans Convention Centre, March 9, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Moyse will be welcomed home by Island dignitaries and the community and will then have a question and answer session. The event will also serve as the local launching of her first book, “Redefining Realistic,” which will be available for sale and signing.
