“We are dazzled by the quality of our speakers,” said Jane Sharpe, executive director. “We’ve already announced Don Mills, Paul McNeill, Alan Duncan and Jennifer Gillivan who are exceptional presenters. This next group will bring differing perspectives on both individual business and business community development.”
Rounding out the program will be: Jeff Poirier, president Vector Aerospace Engine Services - Atlantic, who will speak about employee engagement; Andrew Daggett, CEO, Town of Montague, will outline the tactics Montague is using to revitalize its downtown; Doug Griffiths, co-author of the tongue-in-cheek book, “13 Ways To Kill A Community,” will address some of his most universal points; and Darrin Mitchell, Manager, Trout River Industries, will tell the story of how his company built a multi-million dollar business in rural P.E.I.
The day’s agenda will be about working together for the betterment of the business community. Sharpe said with many positive developments in the area these days, from the business confidence reflected by an influx of chain stores to the port authority’s development plan for the waterfront, speakers will provide individual businesses with inspiration on how to energize their own businesses and generate discussion about how we can better focus our efforts towards driving positive and prosperous change for our business community.
Other speakers are still to be announced. “The Way Forward” will be held at Slemon Park Hotel & Conference Centre.
