Environment Canada says weather conditions that could lead to a flash freeze in P.E.I. have now ended.

The weather agency had warned of flash-freeze conditions since early Friday morning due to rain, followed by a quick drop in temperatures later in the day.

Although the warning has ended, RCMP in P.E.I. are still warning drivers that road conditions may not be suitable for travelling long distances.

The Mounties tweeted around 6 p.m. that vehicle had slid off the road in Brookfield area of Route 2, which caused some traffic delays. There were no injuries reported, and the vehicle was removed from the ditch.
