BLOOMFIELD, P.E.I. — A section of the O'Halloran Road between Bloomfield and Campbellton was closed to traffic for close to an hour Tuesday after a late-model Ford Mustang caught on fire. The driver pulled the vehicle partially onto the shoulder of the road before escaping the fire. There were no injuries.
A passerby called in the fire shortly after 12 noon. RCMP, O'Leary Fire Department, Island EMS responded and West Isle Towing all responded. The car was destroyed and had to be floated from the scene.
