The back section of this Harper Road home was destroyed and the rest of the structure gutted in a Sunday night fire.

There were four people living in the home but no one was home when the fire broke out. There were no injuries.

The Tignish Fire Department responded to the 10:30 p.m. call and immediately called in the Miminegash Fire Department for support. Firefighters were on the scene for four and a half hours.

Tignish fire chief, Harley Perry, said the home suffered so much damage that he was not sure whether it is salvageable.
