Environment minister to be guest speaker

ALBERTON -- Robert Mitchell, Minister of Communities, Land and Environment, will be the guest speaker this Thursday at the annual meeting of the Cascumpec Bay  Watershed Association.

The meeting will be held at the Alberton Arts and Heritage Centre at 6 p.m. Mitchell will provide an update on how the development of a new P.E.I. Water Act is progressing and will be available for a question and answer session.

CBWA coordinator John Lane said the association will review its 2016 activities and outline some of its plans for this year, including, completion of Wilkie’s Pond and rehabilitation work in Long Creek and Huntley River.

All interested people are welcome to attend.
