Earl of Wessex to visit Prince Edward Island in November

Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, is coming to Prince Edward Island.

His Royal Highness Prince Edward listens as his citation is read by Mikhala Brinklow-McKnight, a participant of the University of Prince Edward Island Student Leadership Symposium. Prince Edward was presented with an honorary degree by UPEI this afternoon as part of the symposium activities.

The youngest child of Queen Elizabeth II, the Prince will be in the province on Nov. 2 and 3 for an unofficial working visit as part of a larger Canadian tour.

The Prince is visiting  at the invitation of the Prince Edward Island Regiment which is celebrating its 140th anniversary. He will also be attending a Special Olympics event.

The Prince’s last visit to the province was in 2007, when he received an honourary degree from UPEI.
