NORWAY, P.E.I. - Police in West Prince are investigating a dog’s death after it suffered gunshot wounds last week.
The incident occurred in Norway on June 4 at around 7:45 p.m. The dog’s owners heard a shot in their neighbourhood and their dog returned home seriously injured with a gunshot wound.
The owners rushed the dog to a veterinarian in O’Leary, but the dog had to be put down as a result of its injuries.
The RCMP are requesting assistance from the public to help solve this crime. Anyone that may have heard the shot or has any information about this incident can contact the West Prince RCMP detachment at 902-853-9300, or provide a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
