New Brunswick man pleads guilty

SUMMERSIDE – Danny Gionet, 42, of St. Tracadie, N.B., recently pleaded guilty to one count of assault.
The incident happened on July 9, near Summerside.
Gionet was ordered to serve 12 months of probation and pay a $108 victim surcharge.
Albany man sentenced
SUMMERSIDE – Gary John McMurrer, 63, of Albany has pleaded guilty to resisting a police officer, failing to stop a vehicle when prompted by a police officer and failing to attend court.
The incidents happened on Feb. 11 near Albany and May 5 near Summerside.
McMurrer was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation and must pay a $300 victim surcharge. He is also prohibited from driving for six months.
Bernard sentenced for assault
SUMMERSIDE – Terrence James Bernard, 38, of Lennox Island pleaded guilty to assault, breaching a court order, resisting a police officer, uttering a death threat and failing to attend court.
The incidents range in time from May 5 to July 14 in Summerside and Lennox Island.
Bernard was sentenced to serve 180 days in jail, which he received credit for 40 days already served. He was also ordered to serve 24 months of probation and pay a $200 victim surcharge.
Two days for two counts
SUMMERSIDE – David Joseph Gaudet, 66, recently pleaded guilty to two counts of breaching court orders.
The incidents took place between May 30 and Sept. 30, 2013.
Gaudet was sentenced to serve two days in jail.
Man pleads guilty
SUMMERSIDE – Darren Daniel Richard, 23, of Egmont Bay pleaded guilty to assault with a weapon (a bat) and two counts of mischief.
The incident that led to the charges took place on Aug. 23, 2015.
Richard was sentenced to serve 18 months of probation and must pay a $300 victim surcharge.
Champion sentenced
SUMMERSIDE – Kyle Amelio Champion, 26, of no fixed address, has pleaded guilty to breaking and entering to commit an assault, assault with a weapon, (a microwave oven) and failing to comply with a court order.
The incident happened on July 29.
Champion was sentenced to serve 210 days in jail, but received credit for 42 days already served. He was also ordered to serve 18 months of probation and must pay a $200 victim surcharge.
Green pleads guilty
SUMMERSIDE – Brock Robert Green, 28, of Summerside recently pleaded guilty to one count of breaching a probation order by not repaying an amount he had been ordered to.
Green was ordered to serve 18 months of probation and must pay a $100 victim surcharge.
