SUMMERSIDE – A suspect involved in the May 28 robbery at a Water Street East hotel has been remanded into police custody until his next court appearance.
Aaron Christopher Prichard, 34, appeared in Summerside provincial court on Thursday, and will remain in custody until his appearance in court on June 18 at 1:30 p.m.
The two other suspects, Congjie Tan, 26, and Scott Bruce Dalziel, 44, are set to appear again on June 19.
Prichard has been charged with robbery, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous person. While Tan and Dalziel have each been charged with one count of robbery.
The fourth person believed to have been involved in the robbery at the Quality Inn, 32-year-old Jeremy Stephens, was located at a Duke Street residence about five hours after the incident. Police say when officers attempted to apprehend him, he “used violence” in resisting arrest. During this encounter two officers discharged their weapons. Stephens died later that day of his injuries.
