City hosting community prebudget consultation on Oct. 27

The City of Summerside is hosting its budget 2017 community consultation on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 6:30 p.m. at Credit Union Place’s Veterans Convention Centre.

The City of Summerside used a multiple choice question and answer method during its public budget consultations.

The public is invited to come answer 20 multiple-choice questions with audience clickers, all pertaining to where the city’s money should be spent.

There will be door prizes, light refreshments and an intermission featuring Dennis King and Alan Buchanan of The Four Tellers.

There are only 200 spots available. To reserve a seat, email [email protected] or call (902) 432-1246.

COMMUNITY GRANT DEADLINE

As well, the deadline to apply for a community grant from the City of Summerside is fast approaching.

The community-grant application form for the 2017 budget has been posted to the city’s financial services webpage under “Services.” 

The deadline to apply is Friday, Nov. 18.
