James Moffat Williams appeared before Chief Judge Nancy Orr in provincial court recently for sentencing after not filing his corporate taxes from 2009-2013.
The court heard that Williams has since filed his tax returns with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) but that they were only able to confirm receiving the 2009 returns.
The other tax returns seem to be on a delay.
He filed the 2010 and 2011 tax returns March 6 and the 2012 and 2013 returns the morning he went to court on March 22.
Williams has until April 22 to ensure the CRA has all the financial information needed for his tax returns.
He intends on selling a property so he can make the payment ordered by the court.
Orr gave Williams 12 months to pay his fines.
