Aylward updates P.E.I. PC caucus assignments

Opposition Leader James Aylward recently announced his party’s shadow critics and portfolio roles.

Brad Trivers takes over finance, communities, land and environment, as well as Acadian and francophone affairs. He will also serve as opposition whip.

Darlene Compton takes on family and human services and status of women and will serve as opposition house leader.

Sidney MacEwen handles health and wellness.

Colin LaVie takes on agriculture and fisheries, as well as rural and regional development.

Jamie Fox will take transportation, infrastructure and energy, along with justice and public safety and attorney general.

Steven Myers has economic development and tourism and workforce and advanced learning.

Matthew MacKay handles education, early learning and culture.

Additionally, Aylward confirmed that he will retain opposition critic roles for the premier’s office, intergovernmental affairs and Aboriginal affairs.
