The pot starts off Wednesay, October 19, at $5,000.
Tickets will be on sale at the bar every Wednesday from 7 until 8:45 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased in advance each week, until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, via drop boxes at both the Tignish Credit Union Arena and the Jacques Cartier Arena.
Fifty per cent of ticket sales each week will be split between the two participating Minor Hockey associations. Twenty-five per cent will go to build up the pot (until the Ace of Spades is turned) and 25 per cent will go to the weekly winning ticket-holder.
Although attendance is not required on the night of the draw, organizers are hoping participants will turn out to create a party atmosphere for the draw and to help grow the excitement.
