It will no longer be raining golf balls at the 2015 Atlantic Canada International Air Show.

The Air Force Heritage Society was forced to cancel the fundraising Golf Ball Drop due to unforeseen circumstances.

The Air Show is taking place on Aug. 22, and members of the Heritage Society are disappointed the fundraiser is no longer part of the event.

Tickets were on sale at the Boys and Girls Club of Summerside, and proceeds were to go to the development and support of the Air Force Aviation Park at Slemon Park.

The 5,000 golf balls had a corresponding ticket number, and the plan was for all of them to be dropped from a Cormorant helicopter.

The ticket holder of the golf ball that landed in or closest to the hole was to win $10,000.

The Air Force Heritage Society is planning to try the event at next year's Air
