For the first time, the Air Show is offering public recreational vehicle camping adjacent to the show grounds.
Campers will get access to the camping site on Friday morning before the Show, and can watch the practices from their camping site. They can then enjoy access to the Air Show grounds at a reduced ticket price for the entire weekend.
Details and registration are available through the website at airshowatlantic.ca.
Fans will also get the chance to eat a P.E.I. lobster supper with the performers. Proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish Canada and Camp Triumph, which is located in Kensington.
For $125 plus tax guests can attend one of the two dinner opportunities on the evening of Saturday, Aug. 22, with one happening in Summerside and Charlottetown.
Tickets are available on the website.
"Supporting the community and these excellent charities is one of the great benefits of producing the Air Show. We are hoping fans will attend these dinners to help us to make a positive impact on the local area while giving them an unforgettable experience,” said Air Show Atlantic executive director Colin Stephenson.
The community has been welcoming, and there will be an economic impact of two million dollars on the Island, he said.
Air Show Atlantic is presented by Vector Aerospace, and will take place in Summerside on Aug. 22 and 23.
Tickets are on sale at the Slemon Park Convenience Store and online at airshowatlantic.ca.
