SOUTH GRANVILLE – Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle that was seen at an incident near the Big Boot Range in South Granville on Saturday night.

Queens District RCMP responded to the call at 7 p.m.

RCMP Const. James Perry, with Queens District RCMP, say three females were horse back riding when loud noises spooked their horses causing one female to fall from the fleeing animal.

As a result that female received minor injuries, was treated and released at the scene.

“An unknown vehicle was observed parked in the area,” said Perry.  “The vehicle departed prior to police attendance. It is not known at this point if the vehicle is involved or not. Police are asking the public if you have any information about this incident, please call.”

Police have not confirmed it, but those involved in the incident believe the loud noise may have been a shot from a gun.
