Mobile sales licence granted for fish and chips operation

SUMMERSIDE – An application for a mobile sales establishment licence has been issued by Summerside city council.

Colin MacKinnon was granted a licence to operate the Fish and Chip food trailer from the parking lot at Waugh’s Food Centre at 650 Water Street.

The concession trailer measures 20 feet by eight feet.

In recommending the licence, the city’s technical services department said that MacKinnon has not previously obtained a licence to operate a mobile establishment within city limits but did run Hoss’s Place, a restaurant and takeout business for many years in Summerside.

Staff noted that the restaurant and takeout were well managed in both hours of operation and litter control.
