Summerside man charged with impaired driving in Montague

MONTAGUE– A 27-year-old Summerside man has been charged with impaired driving after an incident in Montague.

Kings District RCMP was called to a home at 2 a.m. Saturday morning with reports of some kind of altercation.

When they arrived two people had been struck by a vehicle in a driveway and were being treated by paramedics. Their injuries were minor.

The vehicle had left the scene but was found soon after on Maine Street. It was pulled over and the driver charged.

He was released with a court date for August 28.

The RCMP is continuing its investigation into this case and more charges could be laid.
