Accident sends man to hospital in Moncton

SHAMROCK — A man is in hospital in Moncton with serious injuries following a single-vehicle collision early Saturday afternoon near Shamrock.

Prince District RCMP responded to the crash, which happened around 5:50 p.m. Saturday on Route 225.

The man, the lone occupant of the vehicle, lost control of his westbound Jeep Wrangler, resulting in the vehicle entering a ditch and coming to a rest against an embanked driveway.

The Kinkora fire department and Island EMS also responded to the scene of the accident.

The male was transported to the Prince County Hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Moncton.

Officers say the investigation continues.

No update on the man’s condition was available on Sunday.
