The pieces sadly fall in to place.

A car is spotted early Monday morning near the Hillsborough Bridge.

Police are unable to contact the owner. The vehicle is towed.

Tuesday morning a person walking across the bridge sees a body washed up on the rocks.

Queens County RCMP respond to a 911 call placed at about 11 a.m.

The body is later identified as being that of the car’s owner.

Coroner Dr. Nabeel Alansari determines drowning to be the cause of death.

He tells The Guardian the victim was wearing jeans, a long-sleeve shirt and black shoes.

The face of the 67-year-old Stratford man was swollen, presumably a result from contact with the rocks, says Alansari.

There were no other injuries.

Family of the victim has requested that the man’s name not be made public.

The RCMP has concluded its investigation.
