Catherine MacLellan will open Lobster Festival concert series

SUMMERSIDE – Eminent Island musician Catherine MacLellan will open the Summerside Lobster Festival musical lineup.

MacLellan will hit the Green’s Shore Confederation Bridge main stage at 7 p.m. on July 14.

Other performers throughout the week include: Nathan Wiley, Louise and Helene Arsenault, Brett Gallant and Zak Doucette and more.

“Winner of the 2012 Canadian Folk Music Award for Canadian Song Writer of The Year and also Solo Artist of The Year in 2009, Catherine MacLellan is an amazing artist.  We’re so pleased to welcome her to Summerside and have her open the evening entertainment portion of The 59th Annual Lobster Festival,” said Don Quarles, festival executive director.

“It’s going to be great time for everyone.  We’re so pleased to present such a fantastic array of musicians.”

A different musical act will be featured every night of the festival from July 14 to 19. All performances will be on the Green’s Shore stage.

Full event wristbands are available at City Hall or at The Credit Union Place.  Single event passes are also available at the door.
