Lennox Island man charged with assault and uttering threats

LENNOX ISLAND – A 21-year-old Lennox Island man has been charged with assault and uttering threats, being at large and breach of probation following an incident on Lennox Island, early Sunday morning.


At about 4 a.m., members from Prince District RCMP responded to a complaint at a residence in Lennox Island where an assault had taken place. When members arrived they found two victims had been assaulted and a male suspect had left the scene. Neither victim required medical attention.  RCMP searched the area however could not locate the suspect.

Later that day the RCMP received a tip the suspect had posted threatening messages on his Facebook page. Several other tips followed which led police to the suspect on Lennox Island; he was arrested at about 5:50 p.m. without incident.

The RCMP thanked the residents of Lennox Island for their patience regarding the check stop conducted on the bridge leading into Lennox Island and for the information received which led to the arrest of this individual.
