Canada Day activities in East Prince

Canada Day

Communities in East Prince will be busy this Canada Day.


July 1

9:30 a.m. – Master Packaging Bike Rodeo in the hockey arena parking lot.

10:30 a.m. – Morning coffee with Sharon at the library.

Noon – Flag raising/cake cutting ceremony and town awards at the fire hall.

1:30 p.m. – Prize bingo.

2 to 4 p.m. – Games and activities inside the rink including an airbrush tattoo artist. Inflatable bouncy house outside in the park, as well as a show and tell with the fire department.

2:30 p.m. – Bunny trails pet ranch

3: p.m. ­– Community barbecue, cooked and served by town council



At the train station

11 a.m. to noon – Lady Slipper Dancers

Noon – opening ceremonies

Royal Canadian Legion colour party

Raising of the flag by Kensington Police Service

O’Canada, sung by Samantha Munden

12:30 to 1 p.m. – Musical entertainment by Nathan Condon

1 to 1:30 p.m. – Musical entertainment by Samantha Munden

1:30 to 2 p.m. – Musical entertainment by Allan and Taylor Sonier


Abram Village:

Centre expo

11:30 a.m. – Dog show and activities for children. Going throughout the day.

2 p.m. – Opening ceremonies of the new Musical Village.

7 to10 p.m. – Family dance at the arena, featuring Réveil, to follow


Lot 16:

Community Hall

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Local entertainment, trivia, dedication to Campsie and Roger MacLean, prizes for ‘best dressed Canadian” with a barbecue to follow.
