Police drug unit arrests man in North Bedeque

NORTH BEDEQUE – On Friday, June 20, members of the Prince District JFO Drug Unit arrested a 59-year-old male for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking in a vehicle in North Bedeque.

Police located a large quantity of Dilaudid pills (hydromorphone), as well as Oxycocet pills (Oxycodone) and cash. The male was held in custody and appeared for a remand hearing on Saturday.

The Prince District JFO Drug Unit is comprised of officers from the Summerside Police Service and the East and West Prince RCMP detachments and are responsible for conducting drug investigations in the Prince District and Summerside areas.
