Egmont Liberals announcing two candidates for riding nomination

SUMMERSIDE – The Egmont Liberal Riding will be announcing two candidates who will be seeking the party’s nomination to challenge Federal Fisheries Minister in the 2015 federal election.


The candidates will be announced at the party’s Red Oak Lobster Dinner set for Friday, July 13 at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club.

Liberal Industry and Consumer Affairs Critic, Geoff Regan, MP Halifax West will be visiting P.E.I. and touring the Egmont Riding to gain first hand knowledge of the province’s wind energy installations.

Regan will meet with Wes Sheridan, P.E.I. minister of Finance, Energy and Municipal Affairs. And will travel to North Cape to tour the Wind Energy Institute of Canada facility. The tour will also include viewing of the numerous wind mills in West Prince.

Regan will address the association’s dinner meeting followed by the launching of the campaigns of the two Liberal Party hopefuls.

A meet and greet is set for 6:30 p.m. with the dinner following at 7:30 p.m.
