The drill was in demand as dental patients of Dr. David Crocker pretend to give their friendly dentist a taste of his own medicine during his informal retirement party Wednesday at the Tignish Health Co-op Centre. Getting in on the action as Dr. Crocker’s replacement, Dr. German Gomez looks on are, from left, health co-op board member Lois Harper, center manager Wendy Arsenault and Harley Perry, chairman of the board of directors.

TIGNISH -- A large crowd of friends and patients dropped by the Tignish Health Co-op Centre Wednesday evening to thank Dr. David Crocker for his many years of dental care in West Prince.

Crocker retires Thursday after nearly 40 years of dentistry at the health center. His entire dental career has been spent in West Prince, having started in Alberton 43 years ago. The Miramichi, NB native moved is practice to Tignish after three years.

Dr. German Gomez is taking over the Tignish practice.

A formal retirement party is in the works for Dr. Crocker next month.
