SUMMERSIDE – Summerside Chrysler Dodge has donated a new Jeep Wrangler to the Prince County Hospital Foundation for the upcoming fourth annual hospital fundraiser, Grass Roots & Cowboy Boots.

Warren Ellis, the founder, organizer and financial supporter of the event, has raised in excess of $250,000 over the past three years.

Grass Roots & Cowboy Boots includes a lobster dinner, a live auction and entertainment. All funds raised from the event are used to purchase medical equipment for the Prince County Hospital, a cause near and dear to Ellis’s heart.

This year, the already successful event, attended by more than 1,000 people annually, will be heightened by a chance to win this sporty new Jeep Wrangler donated by Summerside Chrysler Dodge.

On top of this, the fundraiser will host a telethon portion which will be live on Eastlink TV from 7 to 9 p.m., Oct. 6.

As part of the telethon, groups, businesses and individuals who have been raising funds for PCH will have an opportunity to present their donation during the event and to challenge others to do the same by calling in their donations.

The fourth Annual Grass Roots & Cowboy Boots hospital fundraiser will take place at Eastlink Arena at Credit Union Place Oct. 6 at 4:30 p.m.

Tickets to the event are $100 and include dinner, entertainment, and a chance to win the new Jeep.

Group and individual tickets can be purchased by contacting Ellis at 853-7160.
