Kensington town councillors are fed up with people remarking on the town’s apparent inability to tell time.

A large multi-sided clock installed along the community’s rail station boardwalk has been having mechanical trouble for a while, consistently showing the wrong time.

The clock was installed in the 1990s and has been a source of annoyance for town staff almost from the beginning, requiring multiple repairs. The latest maintenance only lasted a couple of months before the time piece went on the fritz again.

It was decided during Monday’s council meeting that the clock should just be removed until an appropriate replacement can be secured.
