SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. - A popular drive-thru was blocked by an ambulance as paramedics tended to a medical emergency on Christmas Day.
Island EMS responded to a medical emergency at the Reads Corner Tim Hortons just after noon on Tuesday. Restaurant staff said the patient was not injured and will be fine.
Another Tim Hortons staff member praised Island EMS, who arrived within 10 minutes.
Customers in vehicles were lined up down Water Street East waiting for the drive-thru and causing congestion at the busy intersection.
Counter service continued as usual as coffee lovers lined up to order their brew of choice.
