CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The inquest into the death of Catherine Shirley Gillis has been scheduled for April 9 and 10 at the Prince Edward Island Supreme Court.
Gillis, 69, died by suicide at Hillsborough Hospital on Feb. 14, 2010.
Dr. Roy Montgomery will hear the inquest, which will examine the events surrounding Gillis’s death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths. Jury notices are being distributed now.
